What is Plan Management?

Our Plan Management service can help you have greater choice and control over your NDIS plan.

Plan Management is having a provider that helps you manage your National Disability Insurance Scheme funding. This provider, known as a plan manager, communicates with service providers and receives and pays invoices on your behalf.

This doesn’t mean pawning off your plan to someone else – plan managers can actually help you better understand your NDIS plan, to give you greater choice and control over the services you want to access.

Living My Way’s Plan Management services involve:

  • Receiving invoices directly from your providers.
  • Sending you an SMS every time Living My Way receives an invoice on your behalf and allowing direct contact if an invoice is incorrect.
  • Assisting you in keeping track of your NDIS funds and helping you manage your budget, including discussing with you effective ways to use your approved funds.

 

Who’s eligible for Plan Management? 

Fees associated with Living My Way’s Plan Management service can only be claimed by participants who have a Plan Management category in their NDIS plan. Depending on the goals and budget support categories in your plan, you can access services and products that help you meet these goals, and a plan manager can help you along the way.

 

What are the benefits of using a plan manager?

Using a plan manager gives you more flexibility over the providers you choose, as you don’t need to solely stick with using those registered with the NDIS. This means that you can claim an invoice payment for any service provider with an ABN that meets your NDIS plan goals.

A plan manager will also alert you when your funds are running low, giving plenty of notice so that you can take the necessary steps to ensure you’re never without support. They take the responsibility of claiming for providers, paying them, and doing your financial reporting off your shoulders, taking away the stress of doing accounting for your NDIS plan.
