About the role
As a Payroll Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while providing vital administrative support to the Finance team. Working closely with the Payroll Accountant, you will help maintain employee records, process timesheets, manage PAYG and superannuation contributions, and assist with compliance requirements under the SCHADS Award and National Employment Standards.

Your Skills and Experience
- Approximately 12 months’ experience as a payroll officer with a solid understanding of payroll principles.
- Knowledge of National Employment Standards, Long Service Leave, Workers Compensation, Australian Tax Office and Superannuation guarantee legislation and regulations
- Understanding of the SCHAD’s Award and ability to interpret awards and employment conditions
- Working knowledge of MYOB or other payroll systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Understand end-to-end payroll process
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- Compliance Checks (NDIS and WWCC)
- Permanent Work Rights in Australia
