Support Worker – Mental Health & Intellectual Disability

Are you passionate about empowering people with mental health needs and intellectual disabilities to live independently? Do you have the experience, compassion, and dedication to provide high-quality, person-centred care? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

 

About Us

Living My Way is a trusted Not-For-Profit organisation with over 30 years of experience supporting people with disabilities to live independently with choice and control. We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable support workers in or around St George area and Southern Sydney to assist our members with personal care and community access.

 

About the Role

As a Support Worker with Living My Way, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives. You’ll provide tailored support that reflects each members goals and needs, while engaging and communicating our values to foster inclusion, choice and control in all aspects of our services.

 

Key responsibilities:

•        Delivery high-quality person-centred care

•        Assisting with personal care (e.g. showering, grooming and dressing etc.)

•        Supporting with manual Handling (including hoist transfers)

•        Meal preparation and domestic assistance

•        Providing community access support (own vehicle required)

 

What we’re looking for:

•        Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health

challenges

•        Flexible, proactive, and detail-oriented approach

•        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•        Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or a related qualification (desirable)

•        NDIS Worker Screening Check

•        Working With Children Check

•        Current First Aid and CPR certificate

•        You must have the right to live and work in Australia

•        Divers Licence and reliable vehicle
