About the role
As our new Support Worker Team Leader, you’ll lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team of casual and permanent Disability Support Workers. You’ll ensure the team delivers personalised, high-quality support that meets the individual needs and goals of our Members across various locations. From day one, you'll be encouraged to be yourself and supported to perform at your best.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead, develop, and supervise a team of Support Workers to delivery high quality, goal-aligned support.
- Match Support Workers to Members based on needs, goals, and preferences
- Deliver targeted training and development, including competency assessments
- Conduct regular on-site support visits (including some after-hours shifts as rostered)
- Promote inclusion, independence, and choice in all aspect of support
- Monitor compliance with NDIS standards, privacy laws, and internal policies
- Act as key contact for designated Members and complete progress reports
- Support with rostering and scheduling as needed
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and open feedback
This role also forms part of the after-hours phone support team, on a rotating roster.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will be a confident, empathetic leader who is passionate about disability support and person-centred care. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the NDIS, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting others to succeed.
- Experience in disability services or similar health/community setting
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring or team supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of personal care practices, support planning, and compliance.
- Experience in developing, planning and implementing Individual Support Plans
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including participation in an after-hours roster
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
