Family, friends, or carers may play an important role in your health and wellbeing. If you’d like them to be involved in overseeing your supports, we are happy to include them. If you prefer to make decisions on your own, we will always respect that. The choice is yours.
The ISP paints an important picture about each Member to enable you to live life your way.
It includes your specific goals, experience, support needs, routine, health and personal preferences, and schedule of supports for your Support Workers to follow.
We will review it with you when required and include any adjustments that may be needed. Our Support Workers are unable to deliver supports that are not outlined in your ISP.
We provide Support Workers with tailored education and training to support you professionally and safely.
Where these include complex care or behaviour support, this includes clinical input and oversight from our Registered Nurse to help improve the knowledge and skills of our Support Workers.
Competency assessments are completed as needed, with practical training delivered at Living My Way, in your home, or a combination of both. We will talk with you about your preference.
